FAQ's
We believe a smooth experience starts with clear information. Here you’ll find answers to the questions we’re most often asked, and a few you might not have thought of yet.
What is Hello Mojo all about?
Hello Mojo creates hands-on creative workshops for kids, adults, and groups – in our studio in Huele, on location in Flanders, or through DIY kits. From ceramics and painting to playful craft workshops, parent–child duos, teambuildings, and creative moments at events, everything we do is guided by one thing: making creativity feel accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Along the way, we’re supported by a lovely team of enthusiastic student assistants who help bring each workshop to life.
Who are the workshops for?
Our workshops are for everyone and anyone… no matter your age or experience.
We welcome children, teenagers, adults, and even duos like parent-child or friends, as well as schools, companies, and organisations.
In short: if you’re curious, open to getting your hands a little dirty, and excited to make something with heart, you’ll feel right at home at Hello Mojo.
Where do the workshops take place?
You can join our workshops in two ways:
- In our cosy studio in Heule (near Kortrijk): a small, creative haven for intimate workshops up to 12 PAX.
- On location across Flanders: at schools, companies, events, or private gatherings, wherever creativity is needed.
At home, with our DIY kits: carefully put together so you can create at your own pace, wherever you are.
How many people can join a workshop?
The answer depends on the setting and the type of workshop.
- In our studio in Heule, we welcome small groups of up to 12 participants to keep things personal and cosy.
- For on-site workshops or events, we can work with larger groups, adjusting the format and guidance to suit the number of participants.
How long does a typical workshop last?
The duration of a workshop depends on the type:
- Fixed workshops usually last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours, depending on the technique and the group.
- Ongoing workshops are short creative moments, taking about 15-20 minutes per participant.
Do I need any prior experience or creative skills?
No. Nope. Never.
Our workshops are about trying, playing, and discovering as you go. We guide you step by step and welcome imperfections as part of the process. After all, the fun is in the doing, not in getting it perfect.
Can I choose my own colours or materials during the workshop?
Yes, within a thoughtfully chosen range.
We carefully select colours and materials for each workshop, so you can freely explore and make it your own, without getting lost in endless choices.
If there’s any specific color you would like, please email your special requests to support@hellomojo.be, and we’d try our best to make it possible.

You’ve Still Got a Question?
We thought of a lot, but maybe not everything. Drop us a line at support@hellomojo.be, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Do I get to take home what I make?
A 100%. Everything you create at Hello Mojo is yours. Sometimes straight away, sometimes after a little drying or firing time, but it always goes home with you.
What happens to my piece if it needs to dry or be fired?
If your piece needs time to dry or be fired, we’ll take care of it for you.
Once it’s ready, we’ll schedule a pickup at a mutually available hour. If that’s difficult, we place the finished pieces in a small locker next to the mailbox at our studio, so you can pick them up whenever it suits you.
Shipping is also possible, but the cost is calculated individually because each piece is different.
P.S. Ceramics are often delicate, so pickup is strongly recommended whenever possible.
How long do you store finished work?
We keep finished pieces for up to 6 months. After that, we can’t guarantee availability due to limited storage space, so we recommend picking up your work as soon as it’s ready.
What if I arrive a little late?
We understand, life happens.
If you arrive late, we’ll help you settle in and join the flow of the workshop where possible. To keep the experience smooth and fair for everyone, we can’t always extend the workshop or repeat parts that were missed.

From what age can children participate?
That depends on the workshop.
Some duo workshops (like parent–child sessions) are suitable from around 4 years old. Workshops involving tools or more detailed techniques usually have a minimum age of around 8, ideally with supervision.
The minimum age is always clearly mentioned with each workshop, so you know what to expect before booking.
Are the materials safe for children?
Yes. Safety always comes first!
We work with child-friendly materials wherever possible and carefully match techniques to age and ability. Some workshops involve specific tools and therefore have a clear minimum age (for example, woodburning from around 8 years old, with supervision).
We always clearly communicate which materials are used and where extra care or guidance is needed, so everyone can participate safely and comfortably.
Do parents need to stay during children’s workshops?
The answer depends on the workshop and the child’s age. If parental presence or supervision is required, it is clearly communicated in advance.
What if someone has an allergy or sensitivity?
Please let us know in advance, and we’ll take this into account where possible.
We’re happy to adjust materials or take extra precautions so everyone can participate comfortably.
Are workshops accessible for people with disabilities?
In many cases, yes.
We take inclusivity seriously and approach every workshop with care and flexibility. If you share your needs with us in advance, we’ll gladly think along to make participation comfortable and meaningful.

You’ve Still Got a Question?
We thought of a lot, but maybe not everything. Drop us a line at support@hellomojo.be, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Can I book a private workshop in the studio?
Of course, you can. Our cozy studio in Huele is made for small, private gatherings of upto 12 people and has forever been at the center of HelloMojo.
Is the studio wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, no. Due to the structure of the building, our studio isn’t fully wheelchair accessible at the moment. We understand this can be disappointing, and we’re truly sorry for the limitation.
Is there parking near the studio?
Parking right next to the studio is a bit limited.
The studio is located at the end of a narrow street, you can park
- in front of the house or
- in a small one-way side street nearby.
Whenever possible, we recommend carpooling or allowing a little extra time to arrive calmly.

You’ve Still Got a Question?
We thought of a lot, but maybe not everything. Drop us a line at support@hellomojo.be, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Can you come to our location for a workshop?
Yes, absolutely.
We regularly host workshops on location (at schools, companies, events, private homes, and festivals), and come fully prepared to make the setup smooth, flexible, and fun.
Can a workshop be combined with an event (birthday, communion, open day, …)?
Ofcourse yes. In fact, this happens all the time. A workshop often becomes the creative highlight of the event, giving guests something to do and something to leave with.
Can you create a tailor-made workshop for our group or theme?
Yes, and it’s one of our strengths. We love creating custom workshops tailored to your audience, theme (seasons, holidays, branding, art concepts…), and budget.
When brainstorming, we work closely with you and try to accommodate your ideas, preferences, and boundaries. This approach has led to many wonderful projects in the past and ofcourse, many happy participants!
Can workshops be held outdoors?
Certainly!
Most workshops can be held outdoors as long as the area is dry and sheltered. In case of wind, rain, or extreme temperatures, we’re happy to help think of alternatives (covered area, indoor space, tent…).
What does an organizer need to provide on location?
Very little, we travel light. 😉
All we usually need is a dry, sheltered space with enough tables and chairs for the group. For walk-in workshops, space for about 8 participants at a time works best.
For some workshops (like ceramics or certain painting techniques), access to water and electricity is essential.
Other than this, if anything special is needed owing to the type of workshop, we’ll always inform you at the time of the booking.
How much space does each participant need?
Most participants only need the right energy! 😉
That said, a chair and table with roughly half a square metre of workspace is just as important.
Can you guide large groups (50+ participants)?
Most definitely. Infact, the larger the group, the more fun it is!
We bring extra assistants to ensure no participant is left unattended and the mojo in the room stays strong from start to finish!
Can workshops be branded or aligned with our company identity?
Yes, and we do this often.
Our workshops can be adapted to reflect your brand identity, company values, or internal themes. For organisations looking for something truly distinctive, we’re happy to co-create a bespoke workshop concept that feels authentic to your culture rather than “branded for the sake of it.
Do you do the cleanup after?
Yes, we leave the space exactly as we found it.
Cleanup is on us and takes about 30 minutes, so you don’t have to worry about the mess.

You’ve Still Got a Question?
We thought of a lot, but maybe not everything. Drop us a line at support@hellomojo.be, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
How far in advance should I book a workshop?
As early as you can, especially during busy periods.
Workshops can be booked up to one year in advance, and we recommend booking early for peak times like school holidays, communions, or end-of-year events.
What if a workshop is fully booked, is there a waiting list?
Yes. If a workshop is fully booked, we maintain an internal waiting list.
Simply email us at support@hellomojo.be, and we’ll add you to the list and keep you informed if a spot becomes available.
Can I gift a workshop to someone else?
You can and you should.
We’re not saying this because we’re biased (okay, maybe a little), but because experiences tend to stay with people long after things are forgotten.
And that’s not all, there are a few more good reasons too. You can read more (and book) on our gift voucher page. Click Here.
Can companies receive an invoice for workshops or teambuildings?
Yes. If you provide us with your invoicing details (company name, address, VAT number), we issue a proper invoice for your organization.
How early do you arrive to set up?
We like to arrive a little early, i.e., about 30 minutes before start time, so everything’s ready before the action starts.
A quick heads-up about parking or unloading spots is always appreciated and helps avoid last-minute delays.
What are the travel costs for on-location workshops?
For workshops on location, we work with a simple and transparent travel cost structure:
- €0.45 per kilometre, and
- €30 per driving hour (with the first driving hour free).
What if I need to cancel my booking?
Cancelled plans are never fun (for you or for us), but they do happen.
If you can’t make it, please email support@hellomojo.be as soon as possible. Your cancellation is only official once you hear back from us.
To keep things fair and workable for everyone, the following cancellation policy applies:
- Up to 10 days before the workshop
→ the full amount is refunded as a voucher, minus a €10 administration fee per person
- Between 10 and 3 days before the workshop
→ a voucher worth 50% of the original price
- From 3 days before the workshop or in case of no-show
→ no refund or voucher possible; the full amount is charged
If the workshop hasn’t been paid for yet, an invoice will be sent according to these conditions.
What happens if Hello Mojo has to cancel due to illness or force majeure?
We truly wish this never had to happen, but sometimes things are beyond our control. If we need to cancel due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, we’ll contact you as soon as possible.
You can then choose what works best for you:
- move your booking to a new date, or
- receive a voucher to use for a future workshop.
Note: So far, this has never happened, and we so dearly hope it never does!

Can we take photos or videos during workshops?
Yes, by all means. Take as many as you like. In fact, if it’s for the ‘gram, don’t forget to tag us @hellomojo, we love to see (and share!) your creations.
Tip: Just don’t forget to relish in the joy while you’re at it.
Do you also offer DIY kits for your workshops?
Yes we do. The good stuff is meant to travel, after all! 😉
Our DIY kits bring the Hello Mojo experience to your home (or wherever you like to create). Each kit is put together after a lot of trial & error to ensure you experience the same fun as in an in-person workshop… just on your own terms.
Do I need to bring anything?
Nothing at all. Just you, with a bit of curiosity… we’ll take care of the rest.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a bit messy. Aprons are often provided, but creativity sometimes has a mind of its own. 😉
How does payment work?
Payment is made in advance, either via the website or the agreed payment method.
Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received, this allows us to reserve the date and prepare everything properly.
